Max started competing nationally in 2004 on the Grass Track Circuits of the UK. He won several regional championships and captured 3 national title s in 2006 & 2007 .
In 2008, Max moved to the US with his family with the dream of road racing with the AM A, at age 12 Max’s first national championship was onboard a Moriwaki MD250H where he finished 7th. In 2010 Max advanced to 4th place and took 8th in the GP125 class. 2011, the Team expanded to two machines and competed in the Moriwaki cup, Moto3 as well as the GP250 class. Max took the victory t o win his first U.S. national title in the GP250 class and two very close second places in the other two classes .
At 16 year s of age he joined the AMA pro ranks and had his first ever 600 race at Daytona onboard the Friendly Power Sport Yamaha R6. Two seasons on the privately funded R6 was followed by guest rides on a range of machinery w h ere Max finished the season off on a high with great results and podiums on a wide range of machinery including Harley Davison, Buell, Kawasaki , Ducati and Triumph machines .
These rides led to an offer to race a Super stock EBR 1190RX with the new Moto America series from a local Louisiana team T.B Racing . The demise of the EBR factory post the first round at COTA did not set the scene for a successful year ! Despite the challenge s the tea m changed machinery to the Yama ha R1, this meant missing out on a few rounds and having to get used to a 1000cc superbike. The end of the season saw Max in 12th place overall in the championship with some spectacular rides throughout the year.
2016 saw the team have an excellent season with points finished in every round, this led to a very well deserved 8th place in the National championship. On top of this Max raced and won on various machinery including Triumph Thruxton, Kawasakis and his heavyweight twin EBR1190RX on which he won the national WERA title.
2017 Will bring new challenges, a new machine heads to the grid whilst the TB team crew chief will be supporting from the sidelines due to a serious accident during the off season. The season will start with the Daytona 200 in March followed by a full season in the MotoAmerica National Televised series.
